Due to a 150 section of HWY 89 that has buckled and collapsed, all traffic lanes for Highway  89, 25 miles south of Page, at the Big Cut will be closed for an undetermined length of time.  For more information, visit www.az511.org or http://azdot.gov/us89/index.asp for the most up to date information and maps from the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The recommended alternative route coming from the South to Page from Flagstaff, is to take US HWY 160 (right turn) which will go through Tuba City. Then  HWY 98, (left turn) which meets back up with HWY 89 in Page.  This detour will add about 45 minutes to your travel time so plan accordingly.

HWY 89A is open at the junction of HWY 89 and traffic may proceed North which will connect back up to HWY 89 in Kanab, UT but bypasses Page, AZ.

Horseshoe Bend and Waterholes Canyon is open and accessible from Page.  That portion of HWY 89 is not affected.
